A gyro is a Greek-style sandwich that’s made with seasoned meats, tzatziki sauce, and a variety of other toppings. It’s delicious, but it can be hard to make if you’re not used to cooking on a griddle.
But don’t worry—we’ve got you covered!
Why Cook On A Blackstone Griddle?
We have been using the Blackstone Griddle for a while now, and we’re always surprised by how much it can do.
We use it to cook our breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snacks on. It’s great for cooking eggs and pancakes, but it can also do everything from cooking meat patties to frying bacon. It comes with a variety of heating elements so you can make sure that whatever you’re cooking gets cooked evenly without burning anything.
The best part? It heats up in minutes! That means there’s no waiting around for your griddle to get hot—just grab some food and start cooking!
We love that we can use it on the stovetop or in the oven as well. It works well with both gas and electric stoves (and even induction stoves if you have one).
We also like how easy it is to clean! You only need one pot for scrubbing off burnt-on messes from your griddle after every use.

Tips For Cooking On A Griddle
If you’re looking for ways to cook on a griddle without scorching your food, here are some tips:
- Make sure the griddle is hot before putting your food on it. If it’s not hot enough, you may need to wait a few minutes until it is.
- Cook only one side at a time until you know how to use the griddle.
- If you want to flip your food over, keep an eye on it as it cooks so that it doesn’t burn too much on one side.
- Use fresh ingredients whenever possible.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan. Each item should get its own space on the griddle so that each one gets cooked evenly.
